What People Say
Most Liked
Guests rave about the pork tenderloin sandwich, often described as a manhole cover on a bun due to its massive size. The breaded, saltine-cracker crust delivers an addictive crunch that makes every bite a treat. The catfish bites stand out as well; ethically sourced and perfectly cooked, they offer a clean and delightful flavor, unlike the typical muddy tasting river catfish.
The impressive beer selection is another highlight, with 20 taps featuring a mix of local and popular craft beers. The atmosphere fosters connection, with friendly locals and a vibrant vibe on busy nights. Additionally, the house-made blue cheese dressing whips praise and could make any salad an unforgettable experience.
Most Disliked
While most diners enjoy their meals, a few critiques pop up regarding wait times, especially during peak hours. Busy Saturday afternoons often see the bar reaching maximum capacity, leading to longer waits for service and food. This might not be ideal for those looking for a quick bite on the weekend.
Additionally, some patrons suggest that certain dishes, such as the jalapeño poppers and onion rings, could be a bit hit or miss on execution. However, given the overall quality of the menu, these inconsistencies seem minor in comparison to the establishment’s strengths.

Their pork tenderloin sandwich is nearly the size of the hubcap on my son's car. This manhole cover on a bun was absolutely delicious. Breaded in saltine crackers so you may not be able to accumulate all of that saltiness on your palette in one sitting. But it sure will drive you to drinking. The ethically sourced farm raised catfish bites were excellent. I know they were ethically sourced because they weren't muddy tasting river catfish. Renewable farm raised fish is generally always tastier. The bar is charming. The locals were warm and friendly. Great local tourist trap. Worth the hour-two hour drive from the St. Louis/St. Charles area. The wife and I will be returning. And I am fasting next time. I WILL tackle that sandwich in one sitting.

Waitress and food was so good. Had the catfish nuggets (there were alot) and dinner salad, their blue cheese dressing was house made and so good, could have used more. Husband got the onion rings and jalapeño poppers, cooked perfectly. Quinte atmosphere.

First time visiting after moving to the area, best home town vibe you will find. I had the catfish sandwich and my wife had a hamburger, both were very good and enjoyed them, fries were delicious and seasoned just right. We will be back for sure, they have 20 beers on tap so I have 19 more to go. Stacie was our bartender and was on point for drinks.

We had an absolutely stellar time hanging out here. We even skipped our tour to hang out a bit longer. You'll love the menu, cold beer, a good cocktail, and I really enjoyed interacting with the staff. The owner, Natasha, was a pleasure. You can tell she is very involved in the community. Please, stop by and enjoy a bite with a beer... You will have great time.

Great pork tenderloin. Saw a previous review on the pork tenderloin facebook page about this place and had to try it. Onion rings were fresh and seemed to be hand battered . Visiting in Hannibal Missouri. STOP HERE for lunch and a cool one!
